Las Positas Coach Cumbo, Freshman Sensation Anzo Gain top Honors
Fourteen Las Positas women's soccer players picked to All-Conference teams

The Las Positas College women's soccer team was rewarded for its unbeaten season in the Coast Conference-North Division with a major haul of special awards.
Hawks head coach Andy Cumbo made the most of his rookie season on the LPC women's sideline by earning Coach of the Year. Cumbo also coaches the LPC men's team, a job he started in 2016 after coaching at Cal State East Bay.
Hawks star Leila Anzo was selected Player of the Year, Lani Sierra is Defender of the Year and Haley Chitwood Freshman of the Year.

The Hawks, who were 9-0-2 in conference play, opened the CCCAA Northern Regional Playoffs with a 3-1 win over Taft on Saturday, Nov. 23. Las Positas, seeded seventh, travels to No. 2 seed San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday in Round 2.
