Las Positas Sports Roundup: Hawks women's soccer still rolling
LPC women's team notches two more shutouts; Defender Anzo nets hat trick

WOMEN'S SOCCER
The first-place Las Positas women's team extended its unbeaten streak to eight games with back-to-back shutouts wins over visiting Evergreen Valley 3-0 on Oct. 22 and host Chabot 5-0 on Oct. 25, to improve to 7-0-1 in the Coast-North and 10-5-2 overall.
Defender Leila Anzo had a dream game against Evergreen Valley with a hat trick. Midfielder Haley Chitwood had two assists and Camille Le Blanc also had an assist. Reliable keepers Marisol Camargo and Maleni Morales each had three saves in 45 minutes of duty in the shutout.

Against Chabot, Anzo scored again. Others with goals were Camryn Adams, Raena Juarez, Chitwood, and Dakota Hawkins. Forwards Le Blanc and Araceli Honjosa each had three assists. Morales and Camargo had three saves apiece.
The Hawks look to keep the good times rolling at home against Cabrillo on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. They also host Hartnell on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m.

WOMEN'S WATER POLO
The Las Positas women's water polo team evened its Coast-North record with a 21-3 rout of Laney in Oakland on Friday, Oct. 25. Alexandra Sistena Kerin paced the Hawks with seven goals. Lindsey Clendenen and Nicole Adams both had five goals and Emily Adams added three goals.
Las Positas (6-8, 4-4) will complete the regular season at West Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
The Hawks (7-9, 1-5) dropped back-to-back 3-0 decisions against Hartnell and Ohlone last week.
MEN'S SOCCER
The Hawks notched back-to-back blowout wins last week, both by 9-1 scores against Merritt and Ohlone.
Ian Slominski had a goal and four assists and Sebastian Preciado and Dimitrios Vonich both had two goals against outmanned Ohlone on Oct. 25 in Coast-South action at Las Positas.
Against Merritt on Oct. 22 in Livermore, three Hawks had hat tricks -- Vonich, Slominski and Saul Gutierrez. Slominski also had three assists.
The high-scoring Hawks (5-10-1, 1-5) will look to carry the momentum into this week. They host Evergreen Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 in conference play.
MEN'S WATER POLO
Las Positas dropped a tight 14-12 decision against De Anza in the Coast Conference on Oct. 16 in Livermore. The Hawks also fell to Ohlone 17-5 on Oct. 23.
Standout Drake Southern led the Hawks in scoring against De Anza with four goals. He also had a team-high two goals against Ohlone.
The Hawks (1-3, 6-17) complete the regular season at West Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 30 before heading into the conference tournament Nov. 8-9.
