Lawn Mower Likely Cause Of Livermore Vegetation Fire: LPFD

Fire officials said the blaze was moving toward homes on the top of the hill.

LIVERMORE, CA — A lawn mower sparked a vegetation fire in Livermore Sunday, fire officials said. The blaze was reported near 4111 Las Positas Road at about 11 a.m. It took Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which burned about two acres as it spread up the hill toward several homes.

Camp Parks and Alameda County Fire Department crews responded to assist. No one was injured and no structures were damaged.
