Livermore Furniture Store Closing
After 75 years of serving Northern California, an East Bay furniture store company is closing.

LIVERMORE, CA — An East Bay furniture store is closing its two stores in Livermore and Castro Valley after 75 years of serving customers.
Connolly's Furniture and Mattress, which has locations in Livermore (2193 First St.) and Castro Valley (20600 Redwood Road), is in the midst of a liquidation sale. Customers can get up to 75 percent off of some items, according to signs posted in front of the Livermore store.
Four generations of Connollys have participated in the family business, according to the Connolly's website.

The store is closing due to the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic, owner Steve Connolly told the Bay Area News Group. About 20 people will lose their jobs.
The company's Union City distribution center will also close, the Bay Area News Group reported.
