Livermore Goes Live On KTVU's 'Zip Trips'
The broadcast will air live 9-10 a.m. Friday as part of the station's "Mornings On 2: The Nine."
LIVERMORE, CA — Fox 2 KTVU has a new weekly feature it's calling "Zip Trips," and crews will be in Livermore Friday filming the show live. The broadcast will air live 9-10 a.m. Friday as part of the station's “Mornings On 2: The Nine.”
Anchors Gasia Mikaelian, Mike Mibach, and Sal Castaneda will be in the city with KTVU reporters, Frank Mallicoat and Claudine Wong. They will be showcasing local restaurants, people, schools and businesses, according to Fox's Victoria Gurrieri. There will also be activities for members of the local community who come out to watch the broadcast, she said.

"Hometown Hero" - Reporter Claudine Wong will profile a Livermore firefighter/paramedic who took an overtime shift and ended up saving the life of a husband and father. Then, both men and their families have formed an enduring bond and friendship.
"Taste of the Town" - Traffic Anchor Sal Castaneda visits Wente Vineyards and will tap into other eateries in town.
"Livermore Trivia" - Reporter Frank Mallicoat will ask local residents trivia questions about Livermore to see how well they know their town.
"Local Non-Profit" - Livermore Meals On Wheels and the local non-profit Spectrum Community Services will be featured.
"Interview Mayor" - Livermore Mayor John Marchand will join the hosts to talk about the appeal of Livermore and its future.
"Interview with 2019 Miss Livermore Rodeo Morgan Laughlin"
"Centennial Light Bulb" – Live interview with the Centennial Light Bulb Committee at the Firehouse in which the country’s longest burning lightbulb is housed.
There will also be a performance by local band Crawdad Republic.
