Livermore Shooting Leaves 1 Dead Following Altercation
No arrest had been made in the case as of noon Thursday — hours after the early morning shooting occurred.

LIVERMORE, CA — A 53-year-old Livermore man died early Thursday morning in a shooting after an altercation between two men.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after unsuccessful attempts to save his life, police said. He had more than one gunshot wound, police said. The man was not identified pending notification of his family.
Police had not made any arrests in connection with this incident as of noon Thursday.

Police were called to the 1100 block of North P Street around 2 a.m. Thursday after a caller reported shots fired, the Livermore Police Department said in a statement.
It's unclear exactly what transpired in the moments before the shooting. Two men who knew each other were involved in a confrontation when one of the men grabbed a handgun and shot the other, police said.
