Livermore Police Collect More Than 800 Pounds of Drugs

Here's information provided by the Livermore Police Department:

On April 27 the Livermore Police Department participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Drug Take Back Event.

The Livermore Police Department collected over 800 pounds of drugs! These drugs included prescription medications, vitamins and over the counter medications. All of which may have ended up in landfill, ground water or in the wrong hands.

We were also able to do a lot of recycling on this day. All of the non-prescription bottles were emptied and recycled. We would like to thank the many citizens that came out and safely disposed of their medications.
