Livermore Police Find Missing 4-Year-Old Girl
The police department used a helicopter to locate 4-year-old girl, who wandered away from home Thursday afternoon.

A 4-year-old Livermore girl gave her parents a scare after she sneaked away from home on Thursday, but Livermore police were able to track her down in about an hour.
At about 2:40 p.m., Livermore police was contacted by the girl's parents who said their daughter had gone missing from their Leahy Square apartment on Jensen Street, Officer Steve Goard said.
In response, Livermore police sent a helicopter to the area. Flying relatively low to the ground, the helicopter announced over its public address system that they were looking for the 4-year-old.

Realizing they were probably talking about her, Goard said the girl came out of her hiding spot at a small park near East Avenue and Jensen Street, and was reunited with her parents.
"She's an adventurous little girl," Goard said. "She has a tendency to sneak out when her parents are doing chores."
