Traffic Advisory Issued As Livermore Readies For AOPA Fly-In
Traffic will get heavy along I-580 at Airway Boulevard and in the areas surrounding the airport, the Livermore Police Department said.
LIVERMORE, CA — The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Fly-In will be taking place at the Livermore Municipal Airport this Friday and Saturday, offering a chance for pilots and the public to learn more about flight safety. Workshops, seminars, food, exhibits and activities are all part of the family friendly two-day event.
During the Fly-In, and as early as Thursday when registered attendees begin arriving for the event, traffic will get heavy along I-580 at Airway Boulevard and in the areas surrounding the airport, the Livermore Police Department said.
"If you do not plan on attending the event, please consider alternate routes during these days," Livermore police advised.

For those who are attending the event, there will be parking along Airway Boulevard within walking distance to the airport. There will also be parking along W. Jack London Boulevard, which will have shuttle services to the airport.
The Fly-In takes place 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Fly-In is open to the public and will offer activities and events (including a Kids Zone), food trucks, a cookout, and aircraft display. On Friday evening, a drone aerial light show will light up the night sky. Visit http://bit.ly/2DhRUND for detailed information and a schedule of events.
