Livermore Valley Wineries, Rescues Partner To Help Unwanted Dogs
The Wine & Wags event will be held June 2 in Livermore Valley wine country.
LIVERMORE, CA — Friendly dogs and their wine-loving owners will descend on Livermore Valley wine country June 2 for the second annual Wine & Wags event. More than 20 local wineries have partnered with eight Bay Area animal rescues to host a day of wine tasting, dog adoptions and fun activities for man and his best friend.
All attendees and their leashed dogs will receive a welcome treat from Entirely Pets and have the opportunity to enjoy grassy lawns, doggie obstacle courses, dog pools and more treats throughout the day. Food, pet-themed gifts and special activities will also be available for purchase at the event.
Thanks to the involvement of local animal rescue organizations (see list below), many dogs seeking homes will be available for adoption at participating Wine & Wag wineries (see winery list below).
Tickets for the event are $30 in advance at www.LVwine.org and $35 at the door. For a complete list of activities and details, visit www.LVwine.org. NOTE TO PET OWNERS: Attending dogs must be leashed at all times.
