Livermore Vintners Celebrate Harvest With Food-Wine Initiative

Food, wine, friends and family: Some things just go together. Local vintners are celebrating a special month by spotlighting all four.

LIVERMORE VALLEY, CA — It's our favorite time of year in wine country: harvest.

And though 2020's harvest may look a bit different than those in years past, Livermore Valley vintners are still seeking to make this year special. Amid California Wine Month, local vintners have launched the "Perfect Pairings" initiative to match Livermore Valley wines with recipes that elevate the dining experience to the next level.

There are options abound. Pair Omega Road Winery's Alicante Bouschet Rose with an herbed, pomegranate-topped salmon. More of a steak person? Try a Murrieta's Well cab with a T-bone steak. Vegetarians: You're covered too. Try a vegetable risotto with a glass of Wente Vineyard Morning Fog Chardonnay.
