Fatal Crash Shuts Down Lanes On I-580, Snarls Traffic
The California Highway Patrol asked drivers to avoid the area.
LIVERMORE, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic alert following a fatal crash on eastbound Interstate 580 east of North Livermore Avenue Thursday afternoon. The wreck, which involved at least three vehicles, was reported just before 4 p.m., according to CHP records.
The left and center lanes were blocked, according to CHP.
Drivers were advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible. No other information was immediately available.
