Neighbors Saved House From Fire: Livermore Hero

We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

LIVERMORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Tom Hughey, who nominated biochemist and cancer researcher, and friend and neighbor Rod Balhorn of Livermore.

Reason for recognition: Because he and other neighbors worked tirelessly to save my house from fire.

One thing to know: He and his wife, Monique, are the best friends and neighbors a person can have.
