Nurse 'Labors Tirelessly' For Veterans: Livermore Hero

LIVERMORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Jon Gruger, who nominated significant other and nurse Barbara Fresquez of Livermore.

Reason for recognition: Barbara is a dedicated CNA at the Liverome VA Hospital. She labors tirelessly to gladly & proudly serve out Veterans in health needs. Barbara goes goes above and beyond the normal duties and responsibilities in caring for her patients.

One thing to know: Always has a smile and willing to serve!
