Patterson Pass, Tesla Roads Closed By Mudslides

Two roads east of Livermore have been closed because of mudslides in the area today, according to the Alameda County Public Works Agency.

A mudslide on Patterson Pass Road was reported at about 3:25 p.m. just east of Cross Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Later, several mudslides on Tesla Road forced the closure of that road as well.

Traffic in the area is being detoured back to Interstate Highway 580 as crews work on clearing mud from the roadway, public works field maintenance supervisor David Luera said.
