Pileup Crash On Highway 84 Near Livermore Halts Traffic

LIVERMORE, CA — A six-vehicle crash on state Highway 84 near Livermore closed the roadway in both directions Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP officers responded to the head-on collision near Vallecitos Road at about 2:30 p.m. after calls came in reporting that an SUV had collided with at least one other vehicle.

Four other vehicles were also involved and at least one ended up on its roof in the middle of the road, according to the CHP. It also appears that four of the vehicles collided head on.

Only minor injuries were reported and the CHP is running one-way traffic control through the area until the road has been cleared, according to the CHP.
