Raising the Barre To Open Sixth Season with Halloween Party
Raising the Barre's community outreach continues in a Halloween party to benefit college scholarship fund
Raising the Barre, a non-profit organization working to afford middle and high school aged students in the Tri-Valley area the opportunity to better their community through dance, is excited to begin their sixth season this fall. On October 26th, 2018 Raising the Barre will continue their community outreach efforts with a Halloween dance party for ages 3-8. The event will take place at Tiffany’s Dance Academy’s Livermore studio from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The price of admission is $5 with proceeds benefitting Raising the Barre’s College Scholarship Fund.
The Halloween Party will feature dancing, crafts, games, and spooky snacks. The event will be run by current Raising the Barre members. In addition to community outreach, members benefit from valuable experience with event planning, marketing, graphic design, and teaching.
Raising the Barre founder, Tiffany Henderson, says, “Our members use the gift of dance to spread joy and make our community a better place. The Halloween Dance Party is a great event because it allows our members to act as role models to young children and gives them the opportunity to share their love and passion for dance.”

Last April, Raising the Barre, was proud to support the Livermore based non-profit, Sunflower Hill, by raising $1,000 through its Dance for a Difference performance. Additionally, members are active around the Bay Area at food banks, nursing homes, children’s hospitals, and more.

Raising the Barre was founded in 2013 by Tiffany Henderson with the goal to provide Middle and High School aged students the opportunity to change their world through dance. The program is based on 4 pillars of Character and Service - Leadership, Responsibility, Compassion and Confidence. Along with participation in community service projects, the students also attend seminars on etiquette and public speaking.
