Remembering Alexys Angela 'Lexy' Garcia Of Livermore
Garcia will be greatly missed by those she left behind.

LIVERMORE, CA — Beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend, a lifelong Livermore native, Lexy was brought up in the St. Michael's Catholic Church community. She played softball for Livermore Smoke, as well as several competitive travel teams for almost 12 years. She also played at Granada High School, where she graduated from in 2010. She earned her Associate’s Degree from Las Positas College and was working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality and Tourism from Cal State East Bay.
She was employed by Beets Hospitality, where she aspired to become an event planner. Previously she worked in downtown Livermore at both Sanctuary Lounge and Pura Vida. Prior to that she was at Wente Winery Golf Course for two years. She was very well known in the community for her strong work ethic and desire to spread happiness to everyone around her.
Lexy was a free spirit; known for her unique, colorful style, compassion for animals, love of the Christmas season, and quirky sense of humor. While she was a very hard worker, she never stopped embracing her inner child, finding joy in everything, from random acts of kindness towards strangers, to rescuing small animals to frequent trips to Disneyland, or watching her plants grow.

She never took simple joys in life for granted. In her free time she enjoyed exploring new places, creating beautiful, handmade crafts, rescuing injured animals, hiking, photography, and spending time with her friends. She loved swimming and being near the ocean. She had a lifelong love of cats, and just days before her life ended, she had been ecstatically preparing to adopt a pair of kittens of her own.
Lexy was deeply loved by her friends and family, and described her parents as her best friends. Lexy's passion for life, her generous spirit, and fierce love for her family and friends will be greatly missed by those she left behind.
