'They Set An Example Of Kindness' : Livermore Hero

We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

LIVERMORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Sue Porter, who nominated Jeanette Sutton of Livermore, who operates the free Sutton Girls Market to fight hunger in Livermore.

Reason for recognition: They operate a “take what you need, leave what you don’t” farmers market which is fueled by food donations from the community (and some of their own money, I would guess). In what they do, they help put food on the table for neighbors who are struggling.

One thing to know: Jeanette and Sutton Girls Market set an example of “caring for each other” in our community. They set an example of kindness through their example.

Thanks for all you do, Sutton family!
