Tri-Valley Joins Together in Helping Our Wounded Troops

Kenny Loggins, Joe Mantegna and American Idol's Lacy Brown will join several of our local wounded for a benefit concert at Livermore's Wente Vineyards in October.

Local veterans and military family support groups have come together to put on the 'Tri-Valley’s Benefit Concert for Our Wounded,' set for next month.

The event will be at Wente Vineyards in Livermore and will feature Kenny Loggins as headline artist, actor Joe Mantegna as host for the evening, with a guest appearance by Lacey Brown, American Idol finalist.

The event will start at 7:30 p.m. be on Thursday, Oct. 10.

This event gives members of our community the chance to show their support for our own local wounded, while enjoying world-class entertainment in a world-class venue.

The concert format will be similar to Wente’s Summer Concert Series with three levels of seating, two of which are dinner seating options.

All net proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to provide financial assistance to local seriously wounded troops from our own Tri-valley community. 

This event is put on through the collaboration of VFW Post 6298, American Legion Post 237, Valley Veterans Foundation and Pleasanton Military Families.

The event’s non-profit sponsor is the Stand Up & Play Foundation, a national organization providing mobility devices to wounded troops as well as the disabled public.

In addition, several of our local wounded will be attending the event affording those attending the opportunity to personally express their thanks.

The goal of Tri-Valley’s Benefit Concert for Our Wounded is to raise community awareness about the needs of own wounded troops and veterans, and to provide financial assistance to those with serious needs related to their service related injuries.
