Visit Tri-Valley Beer Merchants, Support Struggling NorCal Kids

LIVERMORE, CA — Merchants along the Tri-Valley Beer Trail will again sell brews for a cause during this holiday season's Spread Cheer with Beer charity campaign. Visit Tri-Valley will donate $20 to a nonprofit that serves sick, disabled and at-risk youth for every beer passport stamped by five participating stores in Danville, Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton.

This year The Taylor Family Foundation — a Northern California nonprofit that serves at-risk youth, and children with life-threatening illnesses and developmental disabilities — was tapped to receive proceeds, according to a press release from Visit Tri-Valley.

The Spread Cheer with Beer campaign runs through Jan. 31. Participants can pick up a beer passport at any participating Tri-Valley Beer Trail stop or download one on Visit Tri-Valley's website.

Those who want to participate in the campaign without imbibing may purchase an "ugly" Spread Cheer with Beer sweater for $60 on the site.
