WATCH: Firefighters Battled RV Fire On Altamont Pass

Firefighters worked quickly to ensure the fire didn't spread the hillside.

ALTAMONT PASS, CA — Firefighters battled an RV fire Wednesday on the Altamont Pass.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters arrived around 11:40 a.m. to the area of eastbound Interstate Highway 580, near N. Flynn Road, to find an RV engulfed in flames, the Alameda County Fire Department said.

The driver was able to pull over to the shoulder, next to a hillside, as the RV began to smoke, firefighters said. They worked quickly to stop the fire from spreading.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department also responded to the scene.
