$15,000 Worth Of Jewelry Stolen From Woman's Truck In Long Beach
The victim parked her car in Long Beach overnight. The next morning, she found the window broken and jewelry stolen.

LONG BEACH, CA – Police asked for the public's help Wednesday to find a man who stole more than $15,000 worth of jewelry after breaking into a woman's truck in Long Beach.
Officers were dispatched just after 8 a.m. on Dec. 11 to the site of a reported vehicle burglary in the 3000 block of Stevely Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
"The victim parked her vehicle in her driveway the night before after returning home from a business function, leaving her inventory inside the car," according to a police statement. "The next morning, she discovered the car window was broken in and over $15,000 in jewelry was taken. The loss was in plastic bags and plastic containers."

The woman was a jewelry distributor who had attended an event that night and left her wares inside her pickup truck, Long Beach Police Detective Bruce Roberson said.
"Most people believe their vehicles are a safe haven," Roberson said.

He would not speculate whether the woman was targeted or the theft was a crime of opportunity.
A neighbor's surveillance video released by police shows a tall man of 20 to 30 with a slim build and a buzzed haircut, wearing a gray zip-up hoodie and black pants shining a flashlight into the pickup truck. A white four- door Acura TL with a sunroof believed to have been involved in the heist is depicted in a second video.
