2 Hurt, 1 Critically, In Long Beach Shooting
Two men were wounded, including one critically, during a possible gang-related shooting in Long Beach late Friday.
LONG BEACH, CA — Two men were wounded, including one critically, during a possible gang-related shooting in Long Beach, a police lieutenant said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched at 10:42 p.m. Friday to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of East 16th Street, said Lt. James Richardson of the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers discovered two men both shot in the upper body. One victim was listed in critical condition and the other victim was listed in stable condition at area hospitals, Richardson said.

"Gang detectives responded and the incident is being investigated as possibly gang related," he said. "The shooting was not a drive-by shooting."
