Authorities ID Second Of Two Men Fatally Shot In Long Beach
Long Beach Police said the "relationship between the two victims is still under investigation."
LONG BEACH, CA — Authorities Friday identified the second of two men killed in a shooting in Long Beach and continued their efforts to solve the crime.
Kevin Williams, 32, of Lynwood died at the scene of the crime, which occurred about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 5500 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The second man — identified by the coroner's office as Devaris Watson, 28, of Tennessee — died at Memorial Hospital of Gardena.

Police said the "relationship between the two victims is still under investigation. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances and interviewing witnesses to learn how the victims sustained their injuries and a possible motive for the shootings."
Gardena police officers went to the Gardena hospital about 5 p.m. Wednesday to investigate the death of Watson, who was dropped off by someone who drove away. Gardena police said then that investigators were looking for a blue Nissan Rouge SUV with North Carolina license plate FML-4184.

"Detectives are aware of the vehicle," Long Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez told City News Service on Thursday. "However at this time we are not able to confirm the vehicle's involvement as that is part of the ongoing investigation."
Early Friday afternoon, De Prez told CNS she had "no updates to report regarding this investigation."
