Breaking: 4.0 Earthquake Strikes Offshore Today

A magnitude-4.0 earthquake struck in the San Pedro Channel, about six miles south of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. 

Within 15 minutes, more than 140 people in 34 ZIP codes reported feeling the temblor, according to the USGS Community Internet Intensity Map.
