Sunny Southern California doesn’t disappoint, with June temperatures reaching 78° for the high and 63° for the low. It’ll be partly cloudy and warm out here.

Ocean water temperatures are around 55°, with surf heights of two to three feet.

Even though it’s grass pollen season, along with olives, levels of pollen in the air are decreasing but still considered low to medium.

  1. Mold-invested, abandoned Fire Station 9 is on the Planning Commission’s chopping block for demolition. However, some residents believe that the 83-year-old building has historic value and should be preserved. (LB Post)
  2. Rocket Lab received the subcontract to design twin spacecraft for the 2024 ESCAPADE mission to Mars. The plan is to enable a dual viewpoint analysis of the planet’s atmosphere and climate. (Rocket Lab)
  3. A resident is in custody for possible arson after the LB FD put out a house fire on the 7100 block of Coralite. (LB Local News)
