There are many benefits of club sports and a main one that people often have a misconception about is, that clubs don't play competitively; This club definitely plays competitively. The Long Beach Baseball Club competes in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) and are members of the Southern Pacific-West Conference. The club has had many success stories. The team has had two players named 1st Team All Americans in the Nation in 2010, six players named All Pacific 1st Team in 2010, four players named All Pacific 2nd team in 2010, earned the Southern Regional title in 2010 and won their conference in 2014.

Aside from being competitive there are plenty of other benefits in joining club sports such as getting physical activity, socialization, personal development and a sense of community. While earning your degree you have the chance to grow in multiple ways and joining a club sports team can support your long-term personal and professional success by helping you learn how to cultivate relationships. As a club member you also get to solicize where as you may not get that opportunity on campus elsewhere. When you join any team you get the feeling of community and have endless support from your team members, staff and the community you will be involved with.
Another benefit of being involved in a club sport is the cost, it is much more reasonable than other campus options, and as students we all love to find a way to cut the cost in half dont we? Along with the cost being reasonable, joining a club allows you to still compete and be apart of a team. It also allows you more time to focus on your school work, outside job or social life seeing as how the hours you put in are generally up to you.
