Hotel Maya In Long Beach Names New General Manager

Greg Guthrie has a lengthy background in the hotel trade including positions in Carson, Cerritos and Los Angeles.

LONG BEACH, CA –Greg Guthrie, a veteran of the hospitality industry, was named general manager of Hotel Maya, a DoubleTree by Hilton property in Long Beach, resort owner Ensemble Hotel Partners announced this week.

Guthrie will oversee the operation of the 199-room hotel, its Latin American-inspired, indoor-outdoor restaurant Fuego, along with 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space that includes the Lagunita waterfront pavilion and the Vista Del Mar pre-function, outdoor area.

“Greg will hit-the-ground running in his new position as general manager. He served Hotel Maya well for several years as hotel manager and his years of experience are invaluable,” said Kristi Allen, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Ensemble Hotel Partners.

Along with his previous role as Hotel Maya's hotel manager, Guthrie also was general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Carson in Carson, and held positions at Kyoto Grand Hotel in Los Angeles and Sheraton Cerritos in Cerritos, and worked at properties in San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago and Columbus, OH, according to company officials.

With oceanfront views and 14 acres of gardens, Hotel Maya is located at 700 Queensway Drive.
