Kidnapping Suspect Leads Cops On Chase Through Long Beach
Officers used a PIT maneuver to stop the moving vehicle and then took the suspect into custody.

LONG BEACH, CA – A kidnapping suspect who led officers on a chase Tuesday afternoon from Long Beach to the San Dimas area was taken into custody after officers used a PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle he was driving.
Officers began chasing the suspect, who was in a black pickup truck with a female passenger, about 4:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Summit Street, according to Long Beach police Sgt. Brad Johnson.
At some point in the chase, the unidentified man raced north on the Orange (57) Freeway to the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway.

About 5:25 p.m., a CHP officer used a cruiser to execute a PIT maneuver that sent the pickup spinning off the freeway shoulder.
It was not immediately clear if the passenger was believed to be a victim of the suspect. Both were cuffed at gunpoint and taken into custody.
