We are proud that Clark will be the first woman to lead the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in its more than 100 year history when she takes over on March 11, 2021. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization representing companies of all sizes across every sector of the economy.

Clark is a strong business leader and passionate individual that I've had the great opportunity to work with over the past year on COVID relief and business response initiatives.

Her appointment follows a two-year succession process that was conducted by the Board of Directors and is the culmination of her 16 years with the Chamber in a variety of positions, most recently as president since June 2019.

I would also like to thank the outgoing U.S. Chamber CEO Tom Donahue for his 24 years of time, dedication and talent in leading the organization over the years. I wish him well in retirement.
