
Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster on Wednesday reacted happily to news that the police chief would stay in town rather than seek to unseat Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.
Responding to Thursday afternoon's announcement by Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell that he will not challenge the embattled incumbent Sheriff, Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster said:
