Record high temperatures were set in part of Los Angeles over the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
The high temperature of 99 degrees at Long Beach set the heat record for Sept. 20 as did triple digit temperatures inland.
Today is not expected to break any records, but it will still be hot. The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above normal.
