Long Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony Postponed Due To Rain
The tree lighting ceremony, which was supposed to be tonight, was rescheduled.

LONG BEACH, CA — The holiday tree lighting celebration in Long Beach was supposed to be tonight, but city officials postponed the event to Monday, Dec. 9 due to rain.
The event will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Terrace Theater Plaza, with live music, train rides for kids, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, food trucks and more. The tree lighting ceremony will start at 6 p.m.
"We normally have a few thousand people attend this event, and we want to make sure that all families and kids get a chance to enjoy the holiday celebration," Mayor Robert Garcia said.

The tree and ornaments in the plaza will still be lit over the weekend, along with holiday lights and the fountains.
The Terrace Theater Plaza is at 300 E. Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach.
