Man Shot In Long Beach; Killer At Large

Police were unsure of a motive for the fatal shooting.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was fatally shot in Long Beach, and police Friday sought whoever killed him.

The shooting occurred about 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of Elm Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Antonio Macias, 39, of Long Beach died at the scene, police said.

No description was available of a suspect or suspects. Police were unsure of a motive for the crime.
