Mayor to Officiate at Same-Sex Wedding Monday
The United Church of Christ will also host a same-sex wedding Sunday evening.

On Monday at Harvey Milk Park, Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster will conduct a marriage ceremony for city resident Bob Crow, co-founder of Long Beach Gay & Lesbian Pride Inc., and his partner Tony Almeida.
According to a media advisory, the time is to be determined, depending on when the marriage license is procured at the Los Angeles County Registrar's Office.
Harvey Milk Park is located on 3rd. St. between Pine Ave. and Long Beach blvd., at the North end of The Promenade.
As well, the United Church of Christ plans to host a wedding for a Torrance church pastor and his partner today during General Synod 2013 in Long Beach.
The Reverend Dave Sigmund, pastor of Seaside Community United Church of Christ, and his partner, Jay Greaves, are to be married on the second floor of the Long Beach Convention Center at around 5 p.m., according to the United Church of Christ.
The Reverend Susannah Davis, pastor of the men's home church in Atlanta, is due to co-officiate the service with the Reverend Mel White of Long Beach.
