Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Car In Long Beach

The crash shut down Pacific Coast Highway in both directions between Lewis and Alamitos streets, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA – A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon in a collision with another vehicle in Long Beach.

The crash occurred about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Lemon Street, according to Long Beach Police Department Officer Jason Lehman.

Fire department personnel took the rider to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Lehman said.

The driver of the car involved in the collision remained at the scene, according to Lehman, who said there was no evidence that either driver was impaired.
