Multi-Car Crash Prompts Freeway Closure In Long Beach
There were up to five cars reportedly involved and blocking lanes of traffic, the California Highway Patrol said.
LONG BEACH, CA — A multi-car crash shut down a stretch of the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway in Long Beach Tuesday evening.
The crash was reported near Paramount Boulevard about 10:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
There were up to five cars reportedly involved and blocking lanes of traffic, the CHP said.

A witness told the CHP one person was laying in the carpool lane and not moving.
The freeway was scheduled to be closed until about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and traffic was being taken off the freeway at Atlantic Boulevard, the CHP said.
