The community is invited to help activate new traffic signals and LED safety lights at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 51st Street on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m.

“The addition of this traffic signal will improve walkability in the neighborhood, access to public transportation, and safety for pedestrians and bicyclists,” said Councilmember Al Austin II. “This new traffic signal is the result of the persistent efforts of many residents, including seniors from Carmelitos and the adjacent neighborhood, raising concerns about the need for a safer intersection.”
