The nonprofit SHE IS HOPE LA and author Julieanne O'Connor have teamed for a series of webinars to help single mothers advance in careers.

SHE IS HOPE LA, a nonprofit organization providing job resources, training and assistance for single mothers transitioning into the workforce, announces a partnership with author and work-life balance coach Julieanne O’Connor for a series of instructional presentations for moms in need.
“Julieanne O’Connor is a recognized expert on career-building, and we have great hopes that struggling single mothers will get valuable insight into landing jobs and stabilizing their lives,” said Tisha Janigian, president and founder of SHE IS HOPE LA.
O’Connor’s first presentation for single mothers is a live webinar on careers, based on her second book, on Feb. 25.

“I learned from SHE IS HOPE LA that two of every five children in Los Angeles Unified School District are kids of families of single mothers,” O’Connor said. “As the mother of a daughter, and foster parent of another, I want to help mothers in need in our area to secure good jobs and advance in careers.”
The series of career-oriented trainings are aimed to “help inspire self-confidence through hope, opportunity, perseverance and education,” O’Connor said.

Her book, “Spelling it Out for Your Career,” has received accolades for its real-life, detailed look at landing jobs, building careers and getting ahead in life. According to Aria Cunningham, author of “The Princess of Sparta: Heroes of the Trojan War,” “the book is insightful and grounded in truth, revealing that success is no secret, when you tap into your true potential.”
The book was included in “The 32 Life Saving Self Help Books Women Need in 2019,” alongside respected books like “The Four Agreements,” “The Magic,” “The 4-Hour Work Week” and “The Big Leap,” by the popular women-focused PrettyProgressive.com.
