1 Trapped In Pileup That Triggered SigAlert At 118 And 5 Freeways
Firefighters freed one person from the wreckage involving a big rig and five other vehicles, according to the CHP.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A pileup involving a big rig and five other vehicles triggered a SigAlert in Mission Hills at the Golden State (5) and Ronald Reagan (118) freeways Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was trapped in the wreckage of a sedan and had to be freed by firefighters, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
Several other patients involved in the pileup suffered minor injuries, he added.
The crash occurred at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday. The lanes were cleared and the SigAlert was canceled at 1:52 p.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Ramberto Salcido.
