Happy Tuesday, Los Angeles County.

Families with kids in the Los Angeles Unified School District learned they can plan for a normal school year come fall. And the first day of the work week brought numerous firsts: The U.K. variant of the coronavirus is now dominant in LA County; at least half of all adults in the county are fully vaccinated and people in their 30s and 40s are being hospitalized for COVOD-19 more than older people. And lastly, there may be a wild wolf wandering around Southern California for the first time in a century, but scientists have lost track of it.

Let's get to LA's top stories.
