BURBANK, CA — Employees at a Burbank aerospace company had to run from the building due to an acid spill Wednesday morning.

The building in the 2900 block of San Fernando Boulevard had to be evacuated, and a hazardous materials team was called to the scene to secure the building. The business was identified as Senior Aerospace by Fox 11.

Burbank Fire Department crews responded to a water flow alarm at the business at about midnight. Adding water to acid can cause the chemical to boil over violently and splash acid throughout an area.
