LOS ANGELES, CA — This summer, the iconic Beach Boys will return to their California roots to headline the July 4th Spectacular. Tickets are now available for the anticipated event at the famed Hollywood Bowl.

Named one of the best 10 live music venues in the United States by Rolling Stone in 2018, the Hollywood Bowl lives up to The Beach Boys' legendary status. The amphitheater is located in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. Aside from its recognizable band shell, the venue is entirely outdoors, so don't forget to pack your sunscreen for the July 4th concert.

The Beach Boys are among the most influential acts to perform at Hollywood Bowl. Founded in Hawthorne, CA, in 1961, the band is known for creating early surf music and representing counterculture of the era. With 36 songs on the U.S. Top 40, they have the most hits of any American rock band.

The performance in California is part of the band's "12 Sides of Summer" 2020 tour. Beginning Feb. 7 in Louisville, Kentucky, the tour will stop in 26 cities across the United States and Europe before wrapping up in Wichita, Kansas, on July 31.

The current tour includes original Beach Boys Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. Love leads the vocals while playing tambourine and sax, and Johnston provides vocals, keyboards, bass, guitar and percussion. Those two legends are joined by newer members Scott Totten, John Cowsill, Tim Bonhomme, Randy Leago, Christian Love, Keith Hubacher and Brian Eichenberger.

Of course, the group will also perform songs from their 50th anniversary album, "That's Why God Made the Radio." The 2012 album featured original Beach Boys Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, Mike Love, David Marks and Brian Wilson.
