Bicyclist Killed By Vehicle In Hyde Park Identified
A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and killed late Sunday night in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.

Authorities on Monday identified a bicyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles.
Larry Mitchell, 58, of Compton was fatally injured about 11:45 p.m. Sunday at 48th Street and Arlington Avenue, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The motorist remained at the scene and was not arrested by police, who classified the case as an accident.

LOS ANGELES -- A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles late Sunday night, authorities said Monday.
The incident occurred at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at 48th Street and Arlington Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's South Traffic Division.
``There was no crime involved. It was an unfortunate circumstance,'' said an officer with the division.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist remained at the scene to assist police, said the officer, who was not named by City News Service.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
