Carjackers Impersonate Police, Handcuff Victims At Gunpoint
Police in Burbank are looking for two men who impersonated police officers while carjacking victims at gunpoint.
BURBANK, CA — Two men impersonating police officers handcuffed victims and carjacked them at gunpoint over the weekend, Burbank police announced Monday.
Authorities are warning residents to be on the lookout and asking anyone with information about the crime to call the police. The attack happened at 1:50 a.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of North Naomi Street, said Burbank police Sgt. Emil Brimway.
"Officers arrived on-scene and encountered two victims who were handcuffed. During their investigation, officers learned the victims had been carjacked at gunpoint by two suspects impersonating police officers, said Brimway. "The suspects were wearing shirts with the word “POLICE” written on the front."

The victims were not injured. The suspects were described as men with shaved heads. They were in a gray car. No other details were released.
