CA's Most Expensive Restaurant Averages $1K Per Person

The Daily Meal named the Golden State's own Urasawa among the most expensive dining establishments in the nation, claiming the title of the priciest in California.

Of the eatery, the The Daily Meal writes:

The legendary Urasawa is one of America’s finest Japanese restaurants, with two Michelin stars to its name, and it’s also wildly expensive. It boasts a daily-changing omakase menu of 30 or more courses, which will set you back about $450 per person before tax, tip and drinks. The average check costs more than $1,000 per person. It’s not just the most expensive restaurant in California, it’s one of the most expensive restaurants on Earth.

The report also listed Masa in New York City, which costs patrons $595 per person before drinks and tax for its world-famous sushi, and the Vintage Cave Club in Honolulu, where Barack and Michelle Obama have been known to dine.

The Daily Meal didn’t include big, high-end steakhouses on the list, with the interest of keeping it as local as possible.
