City Matches Renters And Landlords And Guarantees Rent
Mayor Eric Garcetti called the city's Lease Up program a dream come true for property owners.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles property owners can guarantee their rental income by teaming up with the city, Mayor Eric Garcetti announced Wednesday.
The city's Lease Up program, matches landlords with tenants in need of a home, and the government guarantee's the rent.
"For property owners, it's a dream come true. That rent is guaranteed to come to you each month without having to hit anybody up for it, without anybody missing a month," Garcetti said.

The program has added 1,200 homes since November, according to Garcetti.
Would-be landlords can sign up for the program at LeaseUpLA.org.
