Crews Douse 1-Acre Brush Fire At Hansen Dam
A small brush fire broke out in the early morning near Hansen Dam Wednesday. The cause remains under investigation.
LAKE VIEW TERRACE, CA — Los Angeles firefighters battled a one-acre brush fire in the Hansen Dam area of Lake View Terrace Wednesday morning.
The blaze was first reported in the 12000 block of Osborne Street at about 3:30 a.m., and by 5 a.m., crews had stopped the forward progress of the fire, containing it at one-acre, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"All forward progress of the fire is stopped and size held to 1 acre. Nearing 100% line containment around the fire," Stewart said in a written statement. "No injuries reported. No structures damaged or threatened. Crews will continue to complete the containment and mop up operations."

The fire charred medium to heavy brush on flat ground with no wind, she said.
Four Los Angeles County Fire Department hand crews were called in to help establish a containment line and clearing brush in the area and an LAFD water-dropping helicopter was called in to the scene, Stewart said.
