Roberts writes, "You’ve witnessed his passion if you’ve been to the Hollywood Bowl in the past, say, 40 years: With long, wavy gray hair, the now-retired clinical lab scientist is usually peacocking in and around his reserved Garden box seats to the right of the stage. The Forum, the Mint, the Wiltern, the Roxy, the Greek and beyond: He’s ruled aisles and dance floors at them all" (More on the Los Angeles Times).
  5. On the anniversary of George Floyd's murder, the Los Angeles City Council voted to support police reform legislation in his honor by LA Rep. Karen Bass. "We will not see true justice ... until we reform the very systems that allow this senseless violence against people of color generally, African- Americans in particular, to persist," said Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas (More on Patch).
